seaborne urals exports head for 17-year low

Total seaborne Urals exports could drop by 17.5pc to a 17-year low of less than 1.6mn b/d (80.8mn t) in 2020, according to a preliminary Argus estimate. The reduction refects reduced Russian crude production since May, under the latest Opec+ agreement, but also higher-than-usual seaborne exports last year — fows through the Druzhba pipeline were disrupted in April-June 2019 because of problems with contaminated crude in the system.
