Cheap import has been the major topic for discussion for steel producers in MENA during their annual meeting at the Arab Steel Summit for the second year in succession. Metal Expert had an opportunity to have a flash interview with Mr. Khalid Abdulla Al Bassam, Chairman of the Arab Iron and Steel Union,Chairman of Foulath Holding, Bahrain at the Summit 2016 held on October 17-19 in Dubai, the UAE. Mr. Al Bassam agreed to discuss the main concerns for the Arab steel industry such as import dumping and protection from it as well as competitiveness of regional producers.
