Oman's Muscat Steel to double rebar capacities despite oversupply in GCC

Despite oversupply of the GCC market of longs Oman's Muscat Steel is going to double the re-bar capacities. The company is planning to commission the new rebar mill for 8-32 mm products in July 2016. The current market situation, however, is not favorable for capacity expansion due to oversupply of rebar already existing in the GCC-region.
