Russian pellet exports hit record high in April

Wood pellet exports from Russia kept rising in April, reaching a new high for the month as Scandinavian and UK demand held frm. Russia exported 165,000t of wood pellets in April, an increase of 30pc on the month and 47pc on the year (see chart). April is the third time this year that Russian exports have hit a new high for the month, following records in January and February.
