South Korea’s GS EPS starts biomass plant test run

South Korean independent power producer GS EPS has started a test run of its 105MW biomass-fred Dangjin No.2 power plant at Chungcheongnam-do. Dangjing No.2 is expected to start commercial operations in December this year and consume 300,000 t/ yr of wood pellets and 200,000 t/yr of domestic wood chips. The amount it is consuming during the test run, which started on 3 August, was undisclosed.
