Toray and Toyota Tsusho partner on carbon fibre recycling

Japanese companies Toray Industries Inc of Tokyo and Toyota Tsusho Corp of Nagoya are to develop a recycling process for carbon fibre-reinforced plastics (CFRPs). Toray and Toyota Tsusho's process employs an energy-efficient thermal decomposition method in which combustible decomposition gas from the matrix resin is used as the energy source for the process.
