BP confirms second Mauritania/Senegal hub with test on for third

BP and Kosmos have successfully firmed up their second gas hub off Senegal and Mauritania with the drillship now ready to test a new prospect off Mauritania for the third hub.The Valaris DS-12 rig has just completed the Yakaar-2 appraisal well 9km from the original discovery in the Cayar Offshore Profond block off Senegal.This well was focusing on optimisation of the development scheme.Reserves are currently seen in the 10 Tcf to 25 Tcf range with the development scheme eventually likely to involve another 10m tpa LNG facility.
