Subsea 7 finalised a contract with Royal IHC for a new reel-lay vessel which it believes will be delivered in time to satisfy an improving market. This will become Subsea 7's highest specification reel-lay vessel, capable of installing complex rigid flowlines including pipe-in-pipe systems in a water depth of up to 9,845ft (3,000m). KBR grabs Algerian engineering double KBR has been awarded an engineering and project management services contract by BP and Slatoil for two major gas developments in Algeria.
