Tullow slashes jobs by a third to cut costs

Tullow plans to cut a third of its staff to slash its administration costs after weak output in Ghana, delays in East Africa and heavy oil in Guyana. Coupled with pay and hiring freezes, this would allow Tullow to cut its annual net administration costs by US $20m to $80m. A spokesman for Tullow yesterday confirmed a consultation process had begun.
