Mobil has quickly drawn up a new shortlist for its Production Platforms Restoration Contracts (PPRC) work off Nigeria following a request by the authorities. As previously reported by AOG (see 25 June) the US su-permajor's Nigerian joint venture arm was given until the end of last week to come up with an expanded list of potential contractors. Upstream regulator NAPIMS was originally unhappy with a relatively slim list of seven companies that would pass through the door from technical to commercial bidding as it hoped increased competition might reduce pricing.
