Total lists Africa FID targets and wildcats as Preowei slows

Total listed the series of projects it wants to approve in Africa over the next year alongside the exploration wells which it hopes will firm up new developments.The focus for final investment decisions will be in Nigeria and Angola with the Tilenga and Kingfisher project in Uganda now pushed back until next year following the dispute with the government over the purchase of Tullow's share.Off Nigeria,the company expects Preowei,Owowo and Ima all to be approved next year or early in 2021.The four well Ima project in OML 112 has been put off for several years but the gas is now needed for LNG.Talks on Preowei have been ongoing with Saipem/Aker,Tech-nipFMC and Subsea 7/OneSubsea for some time.The current scenario involves 16 wells tied back around 28km to the Egina FPSO which is also in OML 130.A final investment decision was expected this year but it appears to have been put back with rumours of disagreements with the authorities.Total is currently tendering for a drillship and has also invited expressions of interest for platform supply vessels for Egina,Akpo and Preowei.
