Genel gets extension for Somaliland drilling

Genel and Sterling Energy have been given an extension to their acreage in Somaliland,meaning they do not have to make a drill or drop decision until next year.Kurdistan specialist Genel is operator of Blocks SL 10B,SL 13 and Odewayne in the centre of Somaliland and finished shooting 3,500km of 2D seismic in 2017.It had intended to drill next year but the government has grant-ed an extension to the exploration period until November 2020.
