BP noncommittal on Tortue future as Kosmos cautious on sale

BP was noncommittal about future phases of the development of its giant gas reserves off Mauritania and Senegal as partner Kos- fos Energy acpeared more cautious about the sale of a stake. The companies have three separate projects off Mauritania and Senegal (N&S) - Tortue, Yakaar Teranga and Bir Allah, in that order of progress. They will theoretically be capable of producing 30m tpa of LNG. Kosmos has 30% and wants to sell down but retain a stake that will prove self-funding for future phases.
