Total boss Patrick Pouyanne dismissed the idea it might swoop to buy up multi-asset partnerTullow Oil while the largest investor in the UK independent increased his holding. There has been speculation for some time that Total might take over Tullow as its market capitalisation has slumped to around US $800m from $4 Bn last October. It has around $2.8 Bn in debt.
