There is still a divide between buyers and sellers on asset prices in Africa following the pandemic shock but deals will emerge when there is more stability, according to potential buyer Panoro Energy, which is working on its own drilling plan off South Africa. Panoro was one of a host of operators with cash that was looking for proven reserves off Africa before the price shock -it hopes to close a deal for its stake in the Aje field off Nigeria shortly and to buy into South Africa in the same time frame.
