New BW Gabon FID slips but big exploration considered

The final investment decision date for the potential third phase of BW's Dussafu project off Gabon has edged back while the company is considering a new exploration well on a much larger prospect. The company already has the Tortue field on the block producing via two wells and will start drilling four new production wells in the third quarter to tap another 35m bbl of reserves. The total cost for this second phase of the project will be around US $275m with all the service companies that were used Dreviouslv to take on the extra work.
