摘要

This paper deals with preparation and characterization of allyl ethylene diamine and poly(allyl ethylene diamine)/n-hexadecane microcapsules containing n-hexadecane as a phase change material for thermal energy storage grafted on the surface of cotton fabric. The chemical characterization of poly(allyl ethylene diamine,)/n-hexadecane microcapsules was made by the Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy method, and particle size was studied by scanning electron microscopy. Thermal properties of microencapsulated n-hexadecane were determined using differential scanning calorimetry. The results show that melting and freezing temperatures of the microencapsulated n-hexadecane were 16 and 18 degrees C, respectively, as the latent heats of melting and crystallization were 63 J/g.
