GF-6 Engine Oil Category Update

The development of the new GF-6 engine oil category requested by the Auto Alliance continues to move forward, and the American Chemistry Council Product Approval Protocol Task Group (ACC PAPTG) continues to work with equipment and oil partners to successfully complete this category. It has been a long process and was originally complicated by the need for concurrent Heavy- Duty Specification development and, more recently, a request for a supplemental category to complete the GF-6 process.
