摘要

In this study, experiments are performed to understand the critical heat flux (CHF) enhancement using nanofluids, with special emphasis on pool boiling. The critical heat flux measurement at atmospheric pressure for three different concentrations (0.01 gm/lt, 0.1 gm/lt and 1 gm/lt)of TiO_(2) nano particles suspension in water are taken and compared to similar measurement taken in pure water using 0.111 mm NiCr wire submerged in each solution. The significant enhancement in CHF has been recorded with TiO_(2)/water nano solution as compared to pure water.With increasing the concentration the CHF of the TiO_(2)/water nanofluid increases. However heat transfer coefficient decreases as we increase the concentration of the nanoparticles in the aqueous solution.
