摘要

The aim of the present study is to investigate the optimal process parameters of Electric Discharge Machining on Inconel material with Copper-Tungsten as a tool electrode and kerosene as dielectric. The outcome of various process factors on machining performance is investigated in thisstudy. The input parameters considered for experimental work are current, pulse on time, pulse off time and gap voltage. Taguchi's design of experiment is used to formulate the experimental layout. Analysis of Variance and Signal-to-noise ratio method is used to determine the effect of inputprocess parameters on Material Removal Rate and Tool wear rate and find the optimal process parameters of Electric Discharge Machining. The outcome of the present work reveals that pulse on time has a substantial role on material removal rate and tool wear rate.
