摘要

Safety while driving on the road is a critical issue for large and high density cities. The high death rate on highways is caused by many factors, chief of them being a lack of information. This causes victims to receive medical care too late while the police lack detailed data to analyzethe cause of the accident. The goal of this study is to reduce vehicular accidents by developing an automatic early warning system for accidents and providing location data by using a combination of MEMS, GPS, GSM, ZigBee, Alcohol sensors and Engine speed sensor. The architecture comprisesof 2 modules: the Base Station Module and the In-Vehicle Module. The Base Station Module consists of the GSM, data logging, webserver and monitoring system. The In-Vehicle Module consists of two microcontrollers, MEMS, GPS, GSM Modem, ZigBee, Alcohol sensor, Engine speed sensor, LCD, PIR,and Sonar Range Finder. The GPS is used to track location fields. ZigBee is used to send information between device modules in vehicles. By implementing the system described in this paper, the quality of services on the highway will improve. It is hoped that the implementation of this systemin all vehicles on the road will decrease the number of deaths on roads caused by a lack of information for emergency medical respondents and police officers.
