Meeting the Millennial: Virtual Construction Site for Site Safety Personnel

Proper quality of training and educations are among the major concern for CIDB in it’s CIDB Masreplan 2015 and NIOSH in implementing Occupational Safety and Health for construction industry. Poor safety performance is due to ineffective training approach and lack of hazard safetyknowledge and literacy among Site Safety Personnel. Recognizing hazard during construction site visit in the Site Safety Personnel course may be daunting to trainees since it is their first exposure to construction sites. Aim of this study is to present a methodology on proposed of VirtualReality Application Technology usage in learning simulation of construction site. Design and development of the prototype are discussed in detail.
