摘要

Country development from the view point of economy is usually described through the amount of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). GDP as well as wellbeing of the country inhabitants are important indicators, which might show the signs of coherence. Wellbeing of individuals is described alsothrough the income distribution and the possibility to attain the higher level of education. The paper deals with the problem how GDP reflexes into the income distribution in the case of Europe while income distribution is searched with respect to the educational attainment level. The correlationbetween GDP and income of individuals with respect to the attainment levels such as primary, upper secondary and tertiary. The possible correlations, as statistical method, were tested in details for the cases of European Union (27 states), United Kingdom, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakiaand Poland.
