摘要

Power dissipation and physical dimension in CMOS are reaching its limited levels. Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) is a novel promising nanotechnology that can solve the above problems. Power dissipation in CMOS can be solved by stopping information lost in data transmission. Conservativelogic is such kind of solution that provides equality between inputs and outputs. Hence, this paper presents a new design of conservative QCA gate (CQCA) based on QCA. The proposed design has advantages in terms of cell count and total area over an existing prior design. The function of CQCAis to detect faults and defects in QCA circuit. Furthermore, parity preserving check is done by majority and minority gate instead of exclusive OR operation. The design of two-pair rail check is designed and realized by setting cascaded two conservative testable blocks. Hence it can be usedas testable circuit for defect analyzing.
