Modeling Librarian Acceptance Towards the New Cataloging Standard in Malaysia

New cataloging standard; Resource Description and Access (RDA) become one of the biggest issues in Library and Information Science field. The implementation of the RDA in Malaysia perhaps will enhance the accessibility of the library materials because of the evolutions of the informationworld and how the information professional work. Purpose of this study is to develop a suitable framework of explaining and predicting librarian acceptance of the new cataloging standard in Malaysia. The research model for librarian acceptance towards new cataloging standard is constructedbased on motivation factors and technology acceptance literature review.
