A consortium of international companies is being formed to drive the development of high-performance sheet moulding compound (HP-SMC), an established and cost-efficient material for the production of lightweight components. The project is being co-ordinated by RWTH Aachen University through its Institute for Plastics processing (IKV) and Center for Integrative Lightweight Production (AZL).
