YOFC and Lenovo ink industrial internet lab deal

China’s Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (YOFC) and China’s technology company, Lenovo, have signed acooperation agreement to create a joint industrial internet laboratory.Named the YOFC-Lenovo Joint Industrial Internet Laboratory, it is aimed at fulfilling China’s “Internet Plus”national strategy which was first introduced in 2015. The aim of Internet Plus is to apply the internet andother IT technologies to industry. The idea is that big data, mobile internet, cloud computing or the Internet ofThings can be applied and integrated with industry to innovate, upgrade and transform these, therebyboosting China’s economy.
