Gold climbs to highest level since May 2018

Gold climbed to reach $1290/oz in January, the highest monthly average price since May2018. Gold rose sharply to reach the $1280’s/oz in the first days of January, up from the$1250’s/oz in late December. Gold stayed mostly stable at around this level until the 25thJanuary, and increased further thereafter, reaching $1312/oz on the 30th.
