Safety concerns around the shipment of lithium-ion batteries continues to be an issue in the airtransport industry. Amazon is the latest company to fall foul of shipping guidelines to the extent that the UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has taken the on-line shopping retailer to court. Amazon faces 11 charges, brought against the company in )une, over allegations it broke safety rules in transporting lithium-ion batteries. The charges relate to alleged offences before July 2014.
