Fallout from tax reform pits gas producers against pipeliners President Donald Trump's infrastructure strategy would use US$200 billion in federal funding to leverage US$1.5 billion of local, state and corporate investments in transportation and public works projects. The initiative would accelerate the federal permitting process for energy projects such as pipelines, compressor stations and liquefied natural gas facilities. The proposal would allow federal agencies only 21 months to complete their environmental reviews and three months more to decide on the final permits.
