The US Navy is heavily involved in filming of the new Top Gun: Maverick movie, with various Super Hornets supporting the sequel. FILMING OF THE Top Gun: Maverick sequel to the highly successful 1986 movie was in full flow during March. At least three US Navy F/A-18F Super Hornets from VFA-122 'Flying Eagles' are being used for the filming, with actor Tom Cruise once again filling the lead role as CAPT Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell.
