Following a decrease in strip prices, mills reduced welded pipe ones by3-6% in April, HR seamless pipe prices remaining unchanged.Global market for flat products weakening, strip prices are likely to fall furtherfor both Russian and Ukrainian producers of welded pipes. Metal Expert estimatesthat strip will go down in price by 3-8% in May and by 1-3% in June. Prices forMay shipments of pipes will decline by 3-6%. To remain competitive domesticproducers will have to adjust prices in line with the trends set by foreignsuppliers.
