Mills' prices may grow in March

Domestic mills' prices for 57-159 mm seamless pipes made to GOST 8732(31)have not been revised in December.Business activity in the stockists' market for standard seamless pipes is still slow.Due to extremely weak final demand, traders have almost stopped buying.This trend will probably continue in early 2012 and apparent consumption ofstandard seamless pipes will be some 76,000-78,000 t in January. However,trading companies are expected to increase the purchases in Februaryand March which will let mills not only raise domestic supplies but also pushtheir prices up.
