ASSESSMENT OF EXPOSURE TO PESTICIDES Or RESIDENTS LIVING IN THE VICINITY OF TREATED FIELDS

Introduction: When Plant Protection Products (PPPs) are sprayed, a part of the spraying solution may drift away from the target area. This spraying solution can reach areas outside of the target field either as droplets, dry particles or vapour (PPPsdrift). It leads to an environmental exposure of the people living nearby (Siebers et at, 2003; Houbraken et at, 2015; van den Zande et at, 2018). The aim of this study is to assess the PPPs non-dietary exposure of residents living next to treated fields by the collection of factual data and to provide some recommendations to mitigate it.
