The February issue is dedicated to the memory of Desmond (Des) Joseph Brown, formerly of the John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR), ANU, from where he retired as Head of the Medical Chemistry Group in 1985 to become a Visiting Fellow at the Research School of Chemistry until 2012 (see obituary in Chemistry in Australia, July 2014, p. 28).
