In the year 1894 Walther H.Gericke started his machine factory and mill construction company in Zurich.The engineer quickly gained an excellent reputation as a specialist and supplier of milling equipment.He sold roller mills of the prestigious company Seek from Dresden.Other important process steps included grain cleaning,storageing,conveying,sifting and mixing of grain and flour.At the beginning of the 20th century Gericke designed the first vertical mixers and celebrated great success with the patented Soder mill.In the 1940s,pneumatic conveying systems,vibrating feeders and steel belt conveyors for the chocolate industry followed.During this time,Otto and Walter Gericke managed the prospering family business.
