摘要

Nanomaterials have far-reaching potential to help sustainable development, but at the same time, there is evidence that some nanoscale substances and exposure scenarios are linked to harmful health and environmental effects. Against this background, there is a particular need to examine how far the REACH Regulation creates adequate incentives for industry to develop innovations through nanomaterials that contribute to reduced risks in terms of human health or the environment. This issue is being examined by the “Resina” research project conducted by the universities of G?ttingen and Augsburg and Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences’ Society for Institutional Analysis on behalf of the German Ministry for Education and Research.
