RESPONSE OF SELECTED BACTERIAL LEAF BLIGHT RESISTANT RICE VARIETIES TO BROWN PLANTHOPPER AND THEIR AGRONOMIC TRAITS AT RAIPUR

摘要

SIX rice varieties which are resistant to bacterial leaf blight (Xanthomonas campestris pv oryzae (Ishiyama) Dye) at Raipur were tested aqainst Nilaparvata lugens Stal. (BPH) population in glasshouse condition at IGKV, Raipur during July-August, 1993by adopting the international standard evaluation technique described by Kalode et al., 1975. BPH insect feeding and probing marks were also recorded simultaneously to confirm the results.
