Classifcation of household detergent products under CLP: challenges and opportunities

The EU's classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) Regulation (1272/2008) has been implemented for mixtures since June 2015. As with its predecessor, the dangerous preparations Directive (DPD), household detergent products are within scope. This means the EU is the first jurisdiction in the world to fully implement the UN Globally Harmonised System (GHS) for classification and labelling of consumer products.
