Germany: LINGL Capturing New Markets: The Company Adapts to Changing Market Needs

Hans Lingl Anlagenbau und Verfahrenstechnik GmbH & Co. KG, based in Krumbach/DE, employs around 550 people worldwide and is represented internationally by 30 branch offices, sales partners and licensees. Following restructuring and reorganisation in the years 2013 and 2014, the company is well-equipped to meet the current market needs. In December 2016, Hugo Schneider, who had been Managing Director with sole power of representation under insolvency protection proceedings from January 2013 to April 2014, took over management of the company again. With the acquisition of a machinery and plant engineering company for the timber processing industry, LINGL has added the timber industry as another mainstay for the company alongside its existing business for heavy clay ceramics, ceramic sanitaryware and technical ceramics as well as in automation, mechanization, robotics. In September 2018, the traditional company celebrates its 80th anniversary. Hugo Schneider (HS) and Frank Appel (FA), who is responsible for the development of the technical ceramics and ceramic sanitaryware segments, gave us an insight into the company's strategic measures.
