Lab dryer gives intelligent, quick and uniform analysis

Sherwood Scientific have launched a model of their programmable fluid bed dryer, the Model 501, for material sample drying in the lab. The new model delivers a high air flow rate, which breaks up wet samples and ensures vigorous mixing. One of its key selling points is that it allows drying to be fast but uniform - with no lumps or caking of the particles. Furthermore, all stages of the drying process can be programmed, monitored and analysed thanks to the dryer's microprocessor - which controls and monitors the air flow, inlet air temperature and drying period - and a temperature/humidity probe within the tub assembly.
