EPA proposes RVOs for 2019, American Biogas Council responds

381 million gallons of cellulosic biofuel are called for in the proposed rule by 2019. EPA estimates that the majority of this - 358 million gallons - will be compressed natural gas or liquefied natural gas derived from renewable biogas. The total renewable fuel volume is proposed to be 19.88 billion gallons, while the proposed conventional biofuel amount of 15 billion gallons maintains the level set in the final RVOs (renewable volume obligations) for 2018.
