Fees paid by hepatogastroenterologists practicing in private healthcare establishments

Objectives The purpose of the study was to assess the various levels of fees charged by private healthcare establishments and compare hepatogastroenterologists' (HGEs') working conditions in such structures. Methods A cross-section survey of French private HGEs was carried out in January 2009, using an anonymous questionnaire delivered by post. Results 446 HGEs returned a usable questionnaire (spontaneous response rate = 26%).
