BASF CEO meets Putin at Kremlin, Nord Stream 2 presented as ‘purely economic'

LONDON (ICIS)--Vladimir Putin met with BASF CEO Kurt Bock in the Kremlin on Wednesday for a meeting in which the Russian president backed the planned $11bn Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline as “purely economic”. According to a Kremlin statement, Putin told Bock: “I know that you support the expansion of the [Nord Stream] project, which is of a purely economic nature”.
