Swiss Schweiter acquires Lucite’s Darwen acrylic sheet business

LONDON (ICIS)--Schweiter Technologies is to acquire Lucite International’s acrylic sheet business and distribution company Perspex Distribution for ￡92m, the Swiss producer said on Thursday. Schweiter is the owner of 3A Composites, which in 2015 had acquired sheets major Polycasa. The Swiss producer said the latest acquisition aimed to 'further strengthen' its position in the acrylic sheets market.
