Germany's Sudzucker lowers outlook on 'very difficult' sugar, ethanol markets

LONDON (ICIS)--Sudzucker group, owner of ethanol producer CropEnergies, has adjusted its operating profit forecast due to a 'very difficult market environment' for sugar, saccharification products (starch) and ethanol, the Germany-headquartered producer said on Thursday. The company said operating profit is expected to fall to a range between €25m-100m in the 2018-2019 fiscal year, down from its previous forecast of between €100m-200m.
