US January LDPE production, sales, exports weaken year on year

HOUSTON (ICIS)-Production of low density polyethylene (LDPE) in the US and Canada fell by 8.3% year on year in January, according to data recently released by the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and Vault Consulting. Total sales and captive use fell by 8.8% year year on year. Total exports fell by 17% year on year. Exports to Mexico fell by 18%, while exports to the rest of the world fell by 17%.
