LONDON (ICIS)--Two populist Italian parties critical of the single currency and EU-mandated reforms in the country were on Friday on the verge of forming a government, with a May 13 deadline to agree a coalition. After two months of political stalemate following general elections that produced no clear victor, the anti-corruption Five Star Movement party and the regionalist Northern League party have entered into talks with a view to breaking the gridlock.
