SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Xinjiang Heshan Juli is planning to invest CNY4.7bn ($695m) to build a 400,000 tonne/year methyl di-p-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) plant at Kuitun in the northwestern Xinjiang autonomous region, a company source said. The project is currently in preliminary stage and construction may only begin after obtaining all necessary regulatory approvals, including approval from environmental authorities, the source said.
