Sinopec cuts south China xylene prices amid weak downstream demand

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Sinopec has cut its spot xylene offers in south China by (CNY) 100/tonne to yuan CNY5,600-5,650/tonne on 25 April,according to company sources.There were fewer deals done this week in the south China xylene market as demand remains weak with downstream units going through stringent safety checks.This forced Sinopec to cut their offers to ease high inventory levels.
